Build It Green stresses benefits of its membership

Sunday, 01 November 2015 222
Build It Green, a non-profit organization that upholds green building practices, stressed the importance of becoming their member. “When you become a member of Build It Green, you are supporting our mission to promote healthy, energy- and resource-efficient building practices in California through outreach and education,” the organization said in its official website www.builditgreen.com. The organization encourages people to join them to strengthen the effort to create a world that is more sustainable. One of its primary goals is to see a world where every home is built to support health and vitality of the people and the natural state of the environment. “We believe that changing how homes are designed, built, and remodeled is essential to preventing climate change, minimizing pollution, and protecting natural resources for future generations,” the company further stated.

For several years now, Build It Green has been at the forefront of the growing and pro-environment movement in California. The movement, according to the organization, is essential in the vision to demand higher standards and build better homes particularly in California. It also aims to transform the way homes in the state are remodeled, built or designed.

Build It Green works with three strategic objectives in mind. The organization said that it aims to “stimulate consumer demand, increase supply of green homes”, and “support innovative public programs”.

“Build It Green’s program development strategy has been to incubate good ideas in the San Francisco Bay Area and then expand them statewide, helping to establish California as a role model to other states and the nation for developing pragmatic solutions to environmental challenges. We strive to design our programs to have wide-reaching policy impacts that can positively impact many Californians.” The organization emphasized.
